Step-son of the late Jane Muthoni Kimenyi and the late Jedidah Wanjiru Kimenyi. Loving husband of Perpetua Gichangi. Father of the late Eric Kariuki, Eunice Gichangi, Kevin Gichangi, and Philip Gichangi. Father-in-law of William Githara, Caroline Kiarie, and Hellen Kariuki. Grandfather of Samuel Githara, Abigail Githara, Joanna Gichangi, James Gichangi, and others. Brother of the late Rahab Muteru, the late Esther Kariuki, Loyce Githinji, Irene Kariuki, and the late Rose Ndegwa. Step-brother of others. Son-in-law of the late Bishop Laadan Kamau Mbiu and the late Abigael Wanjiku Kamau.
